Sometimes trends in fashion keep us from being risky, but this time in fashion, designers are using and encouraging the use of varieties of fabrics and weights in one garment.  The trend: Mixed Materials.

This Fall, we are going to see at least two, maybe three, different fabrics and weights used in everything from dresses, to shoes, to accessories, to household decorations.  The idea is to create a statement by blending and popping different textures.  It take a bit more thought, but could be a really fun way to make a look your own and to experiment with mixing and matching accessories, tops and bottoms, and dresses with your existing wardrobe.
