Bridesmaid, Prom, Evening Fashion Resource and Trends

Opening to the public on May 6 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Costume Institute’s exhibit, “The Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion”. The exhibit features various media forms depicting how models added charisma and allure to many of the fashions.

Personally, I am excited and intrigued by the exhibit and cannot wait to check it out for myself. I read in WWD about the exhibit and the 86 looks arranged by era; the life-size re-creation of Avedon’s Dovima, a rotating platform housing aluminum dresses from the 60′s Klein cult movie classic, and photographs of Audrey Hepburn’s memorable “Funny Face.”

There is going to be a benefit on Monday with a huge A-list attendee list; Madonna, Jessica Alba, Victoria Beckham all included. Rumors are flying that the dress code for Monday’s event is Short! Marc Jacobs, the event’s honorary chair, says, “I have been trying to encourage anyone we know to wear short. It’s kind of young, and kind of clubby.”
Dress Code Formal’s design team follows all the latest trends and best-selling silhouettes from Europe, Asia, South America, and the United States. We then manufacture these designs and sell them to you directly rather than to a boutique.
