For the first time in the history of Miss Universe Pageants, the same country has won for two consecutive years in a row!! Congratulations to the new Miss Universe, Miss Venezuela – Stefania Fernandez. The former Miss Universe, Dayana Mendoza, excitedly passed the crown onto her fellow Venezuelan.  She was so ecstatic over the win that she could not place the crown properly onto Stefania, and it fell to the floor!

It was only a short while ago when Stefania Fernandez stated in an interview that she would make history and win the crown as the second consecutive winner originating from Venezuela. She was certainly not kidding!! History was made in the Bahamas!!

This was the sixth title of Miss Universe for Venezuela! They currently have the most wins for any Miss Universe country. It was a magical event hosted by Billy Bush and Claudia Jordan and included performances by Flo Rida, Heidi Montag, David Guetta and Kelly Rowland. If you were lucky enough to see the event, then you were able to experience history in the making!!
