On Monday night at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas, Miss Mexico Jimena Navarrete was crowned Miss Universe, beating out 88 contestants including the recently crowned Miss USA Rima Faikh and the favorite going into the pageant, Miss Philippines Venus Raj. She replaces  Miss Universe 2009 Stefania Fernandez of Venezuela. Miss Navarrete looked absolutely stunning in this asymmetrical one-shoulder gown with beaded applique and a modified sweetheart neckline. With such a gorgeous dress, it’s no wonder she placed first in the evening gown competition.
