Britney Spears wore a full body latex outfit when she was trying to break away from her “good girl” image years ago. This trend has certainly taken over 2010 with sex appeal on the most current artists. 

Lady Gaga (whom we just adore), is an avid latex wearer. This hot addiction can also be seen on Christina Aguilera, Beyonce, Rihanna and Fergie just to name a few.

I don’t think this is the last of it though. Keep your eyes out for this super hot fashion trend. Our guess is that you will probably not see it trickle down to Bridesmaid dresses or Prom dresses, (sounds scary) but some eveningwear might not be surprising. Regardless, I’m sure we will see lots more Latex on our favorite stars!

More mature models were spotted all over the runways, sporting gray hair and some in their fabulous 40′s! Gone were the 16 year old models, and replaced by gorgeous maturity.

Many designers welcomed their new models to really showcase their designs since they are the target age demographic. They want to acknowledge the real women who wear their clothes.
In addition, designers are straying from super skinny models and using women with real bodies and curves to represent their collections. This movement is a huge trend among runway models. Designers are willingly choosing the curvier and more mature ladies and asking the skinny 13 year olds to come back in a few years. Can’t wait to see Bridesmaid dresses on real bodies!

Women around the world have been waiting for this day! Finally..Real women with curves that we can relate to! We hope this radical turn keeps going in this direction! It is much easier to choose a special occasion dress when you see it on a real woman. Thumbs up from me!!

1. Remember who you are! Your dress should be a reflection of your personality and you should feel comfortable in it. If you are a girly girl who loves to be a princess, then go with the frilly gown. If you are a tom boy at heart, don’t be afraid to wear something that shows off your wild side, slits and all! 2. Don’t spend alot of money!! Yes, your prom dress is uber important…but there is a good chance that you may not wear it again. Unless you’ve hit the lotto big, get something that is affordable for you and wear it with pride!

3. Keep your dress after Prom! You can lend your gown to a friend and make their Prom day just as special. If you chose a dress that is not a frilly ballgown, then chances are really good that you can wear it to another formal event! Although that ballgown can certainly be appropriate for some formals as well.

4. Choose a dress that flatters your figure! Know your curves and how you want to show them. Take into consideration the curves that you don’t want to accentuate and choose a dress that helps to hide them. Choose a full skirted dress to hide your hips. An empire gown will help hide that tummy, and a scoop or halter top will help with hiding a large bust.

McQueen’s mother had passed away on February 2nd and McQueen took to tweeting as a way to express his pain. Just days before his death, he told Harper’s Bazaar Australia that he was in the middle of a nasty breakup as well. He also allegedly left several suicide notes to explain his actions to his friends.

His sudden passing has left the Fashion world in shock and has robbed them of one of the most innovative and young designers. His designs were sexy and unique, the perfect choice for a red carpet event.  Madonna, Sandra Bullock, Cameron Diaz, Lady Gaga and Naomi Campbell were some of his big followers;  just to name a few.

He helped raise the profile for British Fashion and in 2003, Queen Elizabeth II honored him Commander of the British Empire for his fashion leadership.

Bryant Park was in shock as they learned of McQueen’s death at the beginning of NY Fashion week.  The presentation of his secondary line was cancelled on Thursday after confirming his death. McQueen’s store on W14th street in NYC was also temporarily closed.

He is survived by his Father and three sisters. His family and friends are in shock and grieving his very tragic loss. The Fashion world will not be the same without his presence.

The Fashion on the Red Carpet was gorgeous as always! There was a large presence of mermaid silhouettes, which just looked glamorous and accentuated all the right curves. Lady Gaga brought her cutting edge, over the top style as always and stunned in an out of this world gown. You can’t help but love her!

The big winner of the night was Taylor Swift, who took home the Album of the Year award. Although Beyonce was awarded more trophies than she could handle; taking home 6 Grammy awards. She is the only woman in the history of the grammys to take home so many awards!!

The musical performances were incredible beginning with the show opening act by Lady Gaga featuring Elton John in a mind blowing duet. Taylor Swift performed with Stevie Nicks. Pink performed an unforgettable act taking on new heights!

A special 3d tribute to Michael Jackson featuring Usher, Carrie Underwood, Celine Dion, Jennifer Hudson and Smokey Robinson was heartfelt and touching. His young children accepted a lifetime achievement award on his behalf.

The best in the industry came out to celebrate each other and it was truly a great night and an amazing show (although quite long). Congratulations to all the winners!!!

Insiders of the fashion industry all agreed that the tropical color is indeed on the rise. Turquoise is the kind of shade that puts everyone in the mood for vacation time!

According to Pantone, there was no runner up to Turquoise because people crave escapism and freshness after a tough year and this shade is both inviting and serene. Turquoise certainly puts me in a calm, margarita drinking mood.

“The women in my life wear it on vacation and it looks great with a tan on the beach,” says Tommy Hilfiger about the color turquoise.

Not only is this gorgeous shade being seen in clothing, but also in home furnishings, accessories, makeup and even cooking products!!

Turquoise is also a shade that can be worn all year paired with many different shades such as black and navy in the cooler months and coral or white in the summer.

Try to use this color to accent your home furnishings or help it “Pop” by using it on trim (a lampshade or piping). Try an accent wall in your home in this shade.
